A little background about our medical director:
Dr. Hasan Bahrani is an ophthalmologist and a retina specialist. He is currently a senior specialist and the medical director of the American Eye and Retina Center in Erbil, Iraq.
Dr. Bahrani graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with Honors). He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Bahrani then completed his ophthalmology residency training in the University of Kansas. Following residency training, Dr. Bahrani undertook a fellowship program in vitreoretinal surgery at the Harvard Medical School Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital & Massa General Hospital, in Boston. Dr. Bahrani’s fellowship included sub-sub specialty training in the vitreoretinal surgery management of pediatric retinal diseases.
He is a peer reviewer for multiple international journals and has given many lectures in national and international meetings.
Dr. Bahrani has published several articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.
